Adult Education

Shannow FRC in conjunction with Kerry Education and Training Board provide a range of Adult Education courses to suit the needs of the community, there are two types as follows:

Community Education classes are short in duration normally 6 to 10 weeks examples include: Horticulture, Nutrition, Art & Craft, Smartphone and Tablet, Introduction to IT, SHEP courses and others as requested by the community

BTEI QQI courses which are usually 40 hours , 20 weeks X 2 hours a week for level 3 modules, 50 hours 20 weeks X2.5 hours per week for level 4 modules and  80 hours 26 weeks X3 hours per week and the final week will be 2 hours. Examples include: QQI Level 3 Digital Media, QQI Level 3 Internet Skills, QQI Level 3 Desktop Publishing, QQI Level 4 Desktop Publishing, QQI Level 5 Desktop Publishing.

The majority of our BTEI QQI classes start in the autumn and continue into the next year so watch our Facebook, Instgram and webpage for updates in early September of what is available.
